After mid 1985 Color patches were worn only on Duty Flight Suites & Flight Jackets
Subdued unit patches started appearing on USAF utility uniforms during the early 1980s
In 2007 USAF prohibited unit patches on the Airman Battle Uniforms (ABU)
As of 2018 the USAF has adopted the U.S. Army Operational Camouflage Pattern
(OCP) Uniform, authorizing subdued unit patches once again
