    29th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron
    USAF Patch

    Embroidered/Twill with Cut Edge
    Never sewn on a uniform or mounted on a board
    Very Good Condition
    This squadron was activated 8 November 1953
    in the 29th Air Division flying F-94C aircraft
    The unit was reassigned to Malmstrom Air
    Force Base, Montana in the fall 1955
    It converted to F-89H aircraft in May 1957;
    it converted to F-89J aircraft on 5 May 1958
    On 1 July 1960 the squadron transferred to
    Great Falls Air Defense Sector and converted
    to F-101B aircraft at that time also
    It transferred to the 28th Air Division on
    1 April 1966 and was discontinued on
    18 July 1968
    The emblem design was approved
    by
    the Heraldry
    Office on 15 March 1935 when it was
    known as the 29th Pursuit Squadron
    flying P-12 aircraft located at Albrook
    Field, Canal Zone
    This very rare patch version was made in 1967
