    This squadron was activated on 1 February 1953
    as the 162nd Tactical Control Group under the
    California Air National Guard at Van Nuys
    Air National Guard Base, California
    It was redesignated as the 162nd Communications
    Group (Mobile) on 1 March 1961; it relocated to
    North Highlands Air National Guard Station on
    the same date
    The squadron was inactivated on 16 March 1968
    when it was redesignated as the 162nd Mobile
    Communications Group
    This patch was made in 1966
